Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac to assess players with Algeria friendly on Wednesday

Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac will have the chance to assess his Black Stars squad on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, when the team takes on the Algeria national team.

Nicknamed the Black Stars, the West Africa national team is in Qatar at the moment preparing for the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

To ensure their respective national teams are fully prepared for the upcoming tournament, the football associations of Ghana and Algeria have agreed to play a pre-AFCON friendly match tomorrow.

For Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac, he will use the friendly to assess the strength of his Black Stars squad.

The coach on Monday evening announced his final 28-man squad for the tournament made up of five home-based players and as many as 18 players that will be playing at the AFCON for the first time in their careers.

Tomorrow’s friendly will be played at the Education City Sports Stadium in Doha.

The Black Stars will then travel to Cameroon where the team will kick start the AFCON against giants Morocco on Monday, January 10 before taking on Gabon and Comoros in the other Group C matches.
