Ghana coach Otto Addo has admitted he struggled in naming his squad for friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.

The Black Stars will take on Brazil in their first international friendly on Friday, September 23rd in France before travelling to Spain to play Nicaragua on September 27th.

Tariq Lamptey, Inaki Williams, Mohammed Salisu, Ransford-Yeboah and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh all received their maiden call-up.

Several connoisseurs and Ghanaian criticized the decision to snub in-form Joseph Paintsil from the squad.

Ahead of the Brazil clash, Otto Addo has disclosed that it was a close call between some players but he had to make a decision.

"To put together the squad was difficult because some decisions were very very close. We are happy to have Tariq Lamptey who is a solid Premier League player especially because he is very very young and very fast,"
