Ghana coach Otto Addo is confident Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey will be available for selection ahead of Nicaragua game on Tuesday.

Lamptey made his debut for the Black Stars in their humiliating 3-0 defeat to Brazil last Friday.

The 21-year-old climbed off the bench to replace Dennis Odoi at Stade Oceane. However, he could do little to stop the West Africans from losing after Marquinhos and Richarlison did the damage in the first half.

"He felt something during the warm up so we said we have to watch out and do a little management and he will be assessed later after training," coach Addo said at his pre-match press conference.

"I hope that it’s nothing serious and hope that he can play tomorrow."

The Black Stars will be looking to bounce back to winning ways against the North American country after they were thrashed by Brazil in Le Harve and with only two games to play before the finals.

The match will take place at Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Lorca at 18:00 GMT.
