Ghana new coach Otto Addo has voiced his contentment with how Black Stars newcomers have smoothly integrated into the team ahead of their game against Nigeria.

The four-time Africa Champions will engage the Super Eagles of Nigeria in an international friendly game on Friday at 4pm.

The highly competitive game is expected to be played at the Grande de Stade Marrakesh in Morocco.

Otto Addo handed debut call-ups to several players for the international friendly. Nordsjaelland forward Ibrahim Osman, Forson Amankwah, Ebenezer Annan, Francis Abu, and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare are all newcomers.

The former Ghana international could hand some of the players their debut against the 2023 AFCON finalists.

Speaking ahead of the match, Otto Addo, who is back for a second spell with the national team has expressed his satisfaction with how well the new players have adapted to the team.

“First of all, I think they are extremely confident. They look fearless on the pitch and what I like is that in training they have adapted very well. They have integrated very well into the group”

“I can see them talking a lot, having a lot of fun so I think it's a very good sign on the pitch and also off the pitch they were warmly welcome by those who have more experience” he said.

Otto Addo will be hoping for a flying start in his second stint with the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars.

He replaced Chris Hughton following an abysmal performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
