Five Ghanaians have won the prestigious trophy in their professional careers.
Senegal has two champions, the most recent being Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who won the 2020/2021 tournament. But Sadio Mane had won it with Liverpool in the 2018/2019 season before him.
The last Ghanaian to win the UEFA Champions League was Michael Essien, who won it with Chelsea nine years ago.
