Ghana defender Alexander Djiku opens up on career ambitions

Ghana international, Alexander Djiku has disclosed that making a big move in Europe is part of his career ambitions.

Nonetheless, he insists that when his transfer to TSG Hoffenheim fell through he was not disturbed.

According to him, he was not disappointed that much and is focused on his time at Racing Strasbourg and making his family happy.

“I have individual goals for my career and I hope to achieve them. But my head was never upside down (…) I was looking for an ambitious, European but also fulfilling project for my family and it didn't show up (…) Hoffenheim came up with something, we studied the proposal but I didn't sign there. It wasn't a big disappointment. I will have other opportunities,” Alexander Djiku has told L’Equipe in an interview.

The highly-rated defender has today reported to the camp of Black Stars of Ghana ahead of the international friendly matches against Brazil and Nicaragua.
