Ghana defender Alexander Djiku plays full throttle for Fenerbahce in draw at Sivasspor

Ghana international, Alexander Djiku featured for Fenerbahce on Monday when the team drew 2-2 with Sivasspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

The Black Stars centre-back started for his team today in a Week 33 encounter of the league campaign.

In the crucial away game, Alexander Djiku played in his centre back role and impressed to help his team to settle for a draw.

For Fenerbahce, there were goals from Fred and Irfan Can Kehveci in the 45th and 80th minutes respectively.

The hosts, Sivasspor did go behind twice in the game but never gave up. A strike from Fode Koita cancelled out the first goal by the visitors before an injury-time penalty converted by Rey Manaj forced the match to end in a 2-2 draw.

As a result, both teams settled for a point each at full-time.

The result leaves Fenerbahce trailing Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig by four points heading into the last few games.
