Ghana international Alexander Djiku is unhappy about the penalty decision that lead to Strasbourg’s defeat to Paris Saint Germain in the French Ligue 1.

The 28-year-old who saw his one game ban overturned featured as his outfit suffered a 2-1 defeat against PSG on Wednesday.

Speaking after the game, Djiku expressed his frustration over the decision to hand PSG a last-gasp spot kick which was converted by talismanic forward Kylian Mbappe to hand his side a win at the Parc des Princes.

"There is a lot of frustration," the former SC Bastia man fired to Canal+ as being quoted by footmercato.

"We had identified the opponent well as we had a good game plan. We knew that it was going to be played out on a small detail for we had a lot of energy and had situations as well. We were very good offensively and defensively but we're leave with 0 points and it's a shame."

"All the losses of balls are not forgiving after the somewhat contentious penalty and it's a shame. I'm not going to argue; I haven't seen the images so I'm not going to argue. I'm happy with the state of mind of the team after it's not our championship, it's not our match, it's the next match against Troyes that counts now and we'll have to score points."

Djiku has scored once and assisted once in 14 league games for RC Strasbourg so far this term.
