Ghana international Alexander Djiku returned to action after missing the international break to help Fenerbache secure their ninth straight league win in the Turkish Super Lig.

The tough-tackling defender started and lasted the entire duration as his outfit cruised to a 4-2 home win to end Hatayspor’s unbeaten run.

Fenerbache opened the scoring after just seven minutes into the game through Sebastian Szymanski.

Bright Osayi-Samuel added the second goal for Fenerbache before former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko made it 3-0 with six minutes to half-time.

Algerian international Faouzi Ghoulam pulled one back for the visitors in the 55th minute mark but Irfan Kahveci restored the three-goal lead on the hour mark.

Late in injury time Rayane Aabid halved the deficit for Hatayspor as their unbeaten run in the Super Lig came to an end.

Djiku has established himself as a key member of Fenerbache since switching in the summer. He has featured in all nine league games, scoring one goal in the process.
