Ghana international Alexander Djiku has expressed gratitude to fans of Fenerbache after narrow win over Galatasaray in the penultimate Turkish Super League game on Sunday.

Djiku faced an early exit in the game but his outfit managed to snatch an important away victory over their opponent.

The Black Stars defender was given the marching orders before the halftime break in the week 37 clash played at the RAMS Park.

Djiku accumulated yellow cards and was sent off after just 21 minutes into the game by centre referee in the crucial encounter.

His first booking was on twelve minutes before receiving second caution in the 21s minute leading to red card.

Turkey international Caglar Söyüncü emerged as the hero after netting the match-winner in the 71st minute mark as Fenerbache close the gap in the title race.

They are three points behind league leaders Galatasaray with one game to end the campaign.

“Unity is better than Injustice. EN BÜYUK FENERBAHÇE. Thank you Fenerbache Fan's” he wrote on Instagram.

Djiku is expected to miss his outfit final league game of the campaign against Istanbulspor next weekend.

The 29-year-old Ghanaian defender has made 24 appearances in the Turkish Super Liga this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.

He is expected to make the Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup qualification games against Mali and Central Africa Republic next month.
