Ghana international Alidu Seidu is pleased to have returned to the pitch after being sidelined for over 4-weeks.

The 22-year-old has been out of action for a month after undergoing a successful knee surgery in early February.

On Sunday, the enterprising right-back made a return to the pitch to help Clermont Foot secure the three maximum points against Ajaccio.

The versatile player was handed a starting role and lasted 80 minutes as his outfit cruised to a 2-1 home win.

"Glad to find the field. +3 congratulations to the whole team," wrote the defender on social media.

Ajaccio shot into the lead through Mounaim El Idrissy after 24 minutes into the clash at the Stade Gabriel Montpied and went to recess with a one goal lead.

Putting on a stellar performance, Seidu’s compatriot, Grejohn Kyei scored a brace from the spot to hand Clermont Foot victory.

The defender missed the Black Stars doubleheader AFCON 2023 qualifier against Angola last month.

He is expected to return to the team for the remaining two games in the Group E in June.

Seidu was part of Ghana's squad at the World Cup in Qatar, playing the games against Portugal and Uruguay.
