Ghana international Alidu Seidu made his return from injury for Clermont Foot in their win over AC Ajaccio in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.

The 22-year-old has been out of action for weeks after undergoing a successful knee surgery in early February.

Today, the enterprising right-back made a return to the pitch to help Clermont Foot secure the three maximum points against Ajaccio.

The versatile player was handed a starting role and lasted 80 minutes as his outfit cruised to a 2-1 home win.

Ajaccio shot into the lead through Mounaim El Idrissy after 24 minutes into the clash at the Stade Gabriel Montpied and went to recess with a one goal lead.

Putting on a stellar performance, Seidu’s compatriot, Grejohn Kyei scored a brace from the spot to hand Clermont Foot victory.

The defender missed the Black Stars doubleheader AFCON 2023 qualifier against Angola last month.

He is expected to return to the team for the remaining two games in the Group E in June.

Seidu was part of Ghana's squad at the World Cup in Qatar, playing the games against Portugal and Uruguay.
