Ghana defender Andy Yiadom praises interim boss Paul Ince for his direct nature

Ghana defender Andy Yiadom has heaped on interim boss Paul Ince after seeing the ex-England international replace Veljko Paunovic.

Ince, 54, was appointed last month following the departure of Paunovic – and has endured a mixed start to his reign with the Royals picking up a crucial home victory against Birmingham City but falling to a heavy 4-1 defeat against Blackpool last weekend.

Reading are currently 21st on the league table after losing to Millwall at home.

"He (Ince) was a good player!, Yiadom said.

"And he had a great career. Him coming in is helping the boys – he’s using his experience to help us.

"He’ll put an arm round the shoulder, and he’ll tell it how it is as well. Personally I like someone who is direct and to-the-point. He does that, and that’s what is needed."

The Royals will take on Nottingham Forest in their next league fixture.
