Ghana international Baba Abdul Rahman is nearing full injury recovery at Greek outfit PAOK Thessaloniki.

The Black Stars defender has been out of action for weeks after picking up an injury in Greece. His last appearance for PAOK was on November 9, 2023 against Aberdeen in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The former Chelsea defender has missed the last four games for PAOK and was not included in the Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup qualification games against Madagascar and Comoros.

Baba Rahman established himself as a key member of the PAOK squad before the injury setback.

Before the injury, he had made seventeen appearances across all competitions for the club.

His imminent return comes as huge boost for PAOK, who are currently third on the league log in Greece. The Greek giants are at the top of the Conference League group, having already secured a spot in the knockout stages.

The defender’s impending return also come as a boost for the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. He is expected to make the squad for the continental showpiece to be staged in Ivory Coast next year if only fit.
