Ghana defender Daniel Amartey recovers from Covid-19

Ghana international Daniel Amartey has recovered from Covid-19 and is unlikely to feature for Leicester City tonight when they face Tottenham Hotspurs.

Amartey tested positive for the deadly disease last week missing the Foxes game against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

He had not featured for the club since the Europa League win against Rapid Vienna.

Giving squad update ahead of their clash with Tottenham Hotspurs tonight, the Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers disclosed Amartey is back but will not consider him to start against the game.

“It’s a similar group of players that have been out that will continue to be out.

“Daniel Amartey is back. He’s only just returned after a period of time out, so we can’t consider him to start the game, but apart from that, it will be the same squad minus Jonny and çağs.” He said.

This season, Amartey has made 14 appearances across all competitions for the 2016 English Premier League champions.

Meanwhile, Kelechi Iheanacho, Ademola Lookman and a couple of players have been ruled out of the game against Tottenham since they are yet to recover from Covid-19.
