Ghana international, Gideon Mensah has resumed training with his AJ Auxerre teammates in France.
The defender started for his club over the past weekend in the French Ligue 2 season opener against Valenciennes.
In the 51st minute of the encounter, he was substituted after he picked up a knock.
After the game, it was feared that the injury could be serious which could rule him out of the upcoming Ghana match against the Central African Republic in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Today, Gideon Mensah has been spotted in training with his AJ Auxerre teammates as the side prepares for the next match in the French Ligue 1.
Up next for the team, the side will take on Amiens SC on Saturday, August 12.
The Black Stars defender if passed fit to play will be starting that game as well as his compatriot Elisha Owusu who has started the new season strongly.
