Ghana international, Jerome Opoku put up a fine display for İstanbul Başakşehir on Sunday afternoon when the team brushed aside Antalyaspor with a 5-2 win in the Turkish Super Lig.

The Black Stars centre-back started in the heart of his team’s defense and assisted Krzysztof Piayek to score in the 80th minute of the contest.

With a strong showing on the matchday, Jerome Opoku managed to help his side secure a big three points before the September international break.

Today’s contest saw Sam Larsson shooting Antalyaspor into the lead as early as the second minute.

The visitors doubled their lead in the 41st minute when Sam Larsson netted his second of the day to complete a sensational break.

Pegged behind, İstanbul Başakşehir had to dig deep to find a way back.

A strike from Joao Figueiredo before the break was just the inspiration needed as a second-half hat-trick from Krzysztof Piayek and a strike from Deniz Turuc sealed the win for the hosts.
