Ghanaian defender Rashid Sumaila has been named in the VIVA Kuwaiti League team of the week after another fine performance for Al Qadsiya.

The Ghanaian was solid in defence as Qadsiya settled for a 2-2 draw against Al Arabi in the league on Friday.
Following an impressive outing in the super cup, the former Kotoko defender maintained his position in the team that faced Al Arabi.
Sumaila has emerged one of the best central defenders in the country and was a subject of interest from several clubs but Qadsiya had to keep their stalwart defender.

The Ghanaian center back joined Al Qadsiya after loan spells with Al Gharafa where he was voted player of the season for the club.
