The Ghana duo of Mubarak Wakaso and Frank Acheampong has arrived in the country and will team up with players at the camp of the Black Stars ahead of scheduled friendly matches in June.

Ghana was expected to kick start its campaign in the group stage of the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup next month.

However, due to CAF’s decision to push the start of the qualifiers to later this year, the Ghana FA has lined up two friendly matches in June.

The Black Stars have already commenced camping in Cape Coast to prepare for the two matches against Morocco on Tuesday, June 8, and Ivory in Cape Coast on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

Having received invites for the two friendlies, China-based duo Mubarak Wakaso and Frank Acheampong have arrived to join their teammates in camp.

The players play for Shenzhen FC in the Chinese Super League and will hope to impress to ensure they are invited when the time is due for the World Cup qualifiers.
