Ghana FA appoints Yaw Preko as head coach of National U15 boys team

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the appointment of Yaw Preko as the new head coach for the National U15 boys team.

In a communique from the association, it said Yaw Preko begins work immediately.

“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Yaw Preko as the Head Coach of the National U-15 boys team with immediate effect,” part of the communique said on Monday.

The Ghana FA statement continued, “This forms part of implementation steps being taken by the Ghana Football Association targeted at building strong youth development structures and systems to consistently feed various age category teams with quality and well-molded talent."

Yaw Preko has managerial experience at club level having worked as Head Coach at Medeama SC and Great Olympics as well as his Assistant Coach roles played at Accra Hearts of Oak and Nigerian side Ifeanyi Ubah.

In his new role, Coach Yaw Preko will be deputized by Awudu Issaka and Mubarak Gado respectively.
