Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku has rubbished claim the Ministry of Finance splashed $800,000 for the September friendlies.

The Black Stars engaged in two friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua during the international break.

Ghana lost 3-0 to the South American giants before recovering to beat Nicaragua 1-0.

Earlier reports in the local media suggested the Finance Ministry supported the Ghana FA an amount of $800,000 for the friendlies.

But the Ghana FA capo has denied such reports and has called on the public to treat it with the needed contempt it deserves.

“I have just come out and read that the Ministry of Finance gave the Ghana FA USD800,000 TO honour two friendly games against Brazil And Nicaragua. Fact check, this is false…….kindly ignore. On God” he posted on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Ghana is returning to the global showpiece, World Cup after missing out in Russia 2018, where France emerged as winners.

Ghana has been housed in Group H against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
