Ghana Premier League outfit Bofoakwa Tano secured a spot in the MTN FA Cup semi-final after a thrilling penalty shootout victory over last season's semifinalists Skyy FC.

The match saw Elihaj Addai's powerful strike in the 17th minute matched by Division One Zone Two's top scorer, Andrews Cobbinah, leading to the game finishing 1-1 after 90 minutes of intense action at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday.

The game travelled to extra time and no team was still able to win the tie, needing it to be decided on penalties.

Bofoakwa Tano displayed composure from the spot, converting all their penalties, while Skyy FC faltered, missing one crucial spot-kick, resulting in their elimination from the competition.

The victors now await the winner between defending champions Dreams FC and Soccer Intellectuals in the semi-final clash.

In another fixture, Legon Cities emerged victorious over former champions Bechem United with a narrow 1-0 win, securing their place in the semi-final.

They are set to face Nsoatreman FC in a bid to advance to the final of the FA Cup, promising an exciting showdown in the upcoming matches.
