Top officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) are scheduled to hold discussions with Laryea Kingston, the former Ghanaian football star.

Kingston recently stepped down from his position as head coach of the Black Starlets, a role he held for less than a year.

Kingston made the announcement following his team's 2-1 loss to Burkina Faso in the semifinals of the ongoing WAFU Zone B Championship at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium last Saturday.

Nana Oduro Sarfo, an Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, disclosed that the association intends to meet with the 43-year-old coach soon to understand the reasons behind his departure.

In the meantime, the Black Starlets are gearing up to face Nigeria in the third-place playoff match on Tuesday, also at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Earlier this year, Laryea Kingston was appointed to succeed Karim Zito as head coach.
