Ghana FA must compensate clubs for cancelling 2019/20 season - Oluboi Commodore

General Manager of Accra Great Olympics, Oluboi Commodore has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to compensate clubs for cancelling teh 2019/20 football season.

After three months of no football due to coronavirus, the Executive Council on Tuesday, June 30 announced the cancellation of the season.

It is unknown when the 2020/21 season will start.

According to Mr Commodore, plans of his club had been thrown overboard with the cancellation and that all the measures taken for the year would be affected.

“We need to be compensated by the GFA," he told Graphic Sports.

"We have invested a lot of resources for the season and it cannot go waste because the league has been called off," he added.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko and Ashgold have been named to represent Ghana in next season's CAF inter-club competition.
