The Ghana Football Association is seeking an international friendly for the Black Stars in June ahead of the 2023 AFCON final round qualifiers, according to Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

Ghana will return to action next for the AFCON qualifiers but it is said the leadership of the Ghana FA are working around the clock to secure a high-profile friendly for the senior national soccer team.

The Black Stars technical team led by Chris Hughton will have the opportunity to assess players in the high-profile tie.

Chris Hughton and his technical team are determined to build squad that can upset teams going forward.

The Premier League manager took over as Black Stars coach in February, with George Boateng and Didi Dramani serving as assistants.

Hughton is off to a flying start, winning one and drawing one in his first two games as coach of the national team.

The former Brighton boss led the Black Stars to defeat Angola in Kumasi in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers before sharing spoils in the reverse fixture in Luanda.
