The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended a helping hand to former Black Stars goalkeeper Ali Jarrah.

The support which includes footballs and a cash amount is to support the goalkeepers academy of the ex-Ghana player.

According to Ghana FA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo, this is a small contribution from the association to motivate Ali Jarrah in his venture.

‘’This is our small contribution to you and we feel it will help urge you to do more. We know a great deal of effort has gone into putting this academy together so giving you a token of support is a step in the right direction,” Prosper Harrison Addo said as quoted on the website of the GFA.

In his playing days, Ali Jarrah featured for Accra Hearts of Oak and the Black Starlets.

He was regarded as the best in his days before he got paralyzed in September 1993.

He now runs an academy focused on training goalkeepers in his bid to give back to society.
