Ghana Football Association and French Football Federation collaborate to develop women's football in Ghana

In a bid to enhance the development of women's football in Ghana, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the French Football Federation (FFF) have forged a strategic partnership.

The initiative, supported by the France Embassy in Accra and funded by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of France, aims to empower young players, referees, coaches, and technical personnel through comprehensive training and exchange programs in both countries.

A delegation from the French Football Federation recently arrived in Accra to engage in discussions with officials from the Ghana Football Association, seeking to chart a roadmap for the successful implementation of the collaboration.

The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, included notable figures such as Ludovic Debru, the International Technical Director of the France Football Federation, and Nada Amartey Mills, the Project Manager and Cooperation and Cultural Affairs Manager at the France Embassy in Accra.

During the meeting, President of the GFA Simeon-Okraku, alongside other key representatives from the Ghana Football Association, including Technical Director Bernhard Lippert, Head of Women's Football Development Ama Brobey Williams and Director of Communications Henry Asante Twum.

Lead on Women's Football Communication Matilda Dimedo, and Project Lead and Coordinator Janice Odonkor were also in attendance as they engaged in fruitful discussions with their French counterparts.
