Ghana forward Caleb Ekuban informs Trabzonspor of desire to leave club this summer

Ghana international, Caleb Ekuban has informed Trabzonspor of his intention to leave the club this summer.

The player since January has been rumored to be eager to leave the Turkish Super Lig outfit for reportedly being used as out of position.

Constantly pushing to play as the lead attacker, Caleb Ekuban has often been played behind a number 9 or shifted to operate from the flanks.

Although he has excelled playing those two roles, reports gathered from Turkey indicate that he is not happy and has told officials of Trabzonspor that he wants to be sold.

This is said to be the reason why he has not yet reported to the camp of the team for pre-season training.

He was expected to join his teammates over the weekend but the club later revealed that the date has been pushed forward.

While it is unclear how this will end, many believe that it will be best if he is sold. At the moment, there is strong interest from France with Saint-Etienne reportedly eager to secure the services of the Black Stars attacker.

Last season, Caleb Ekuban scored 10 goals and provided four assists after making 32 appearances for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
