Ghana international Emmanuel Boateng has reacted after helping Rio Ave to share the spoils against Arouca in the Portuguese top-flight.
Boateng delivered an outstanding performance when his side held Arouca to a 2-2 stalemate on Sunday. The former Black Stars forward started and played full throttle of the match.
Putting up a stellar performance, Boateng scored and registered an assist to propel his side to draw in the week 13 clash played at the Estádio Municipal de Arouca.
After the game, Boateng took to social media to express gratitude after scoring to inspire his side to draw.
“Alhamdulillah 🤲🤲🦁🦁🦁🙏🏿 +1” he wrote on X.
Rio Ave wasted no time to break the deadlock after finding the back of the net five minutes into the game through Aderllan Santos after being set up by the Ghanaian forward.
Boateng doubled the advantage for the visitors after hitting the back of the net in the 29th minute as they went to recess with the advantage.
But Rio Ave threw away the two goal lead as the host staged a comeback to settle for a draw. Goals from Cristo González and Jason ensured Arouca secure a draw on home turf.
The Ghana international has now scored two goals and provided two assists in 8 games for Rio Ave so far this season.
