Ghana international, Joseph Paintsil has returned to Belgium where he has joined his teammates at KRC Genk to begin pre-season.

The forward had an excellent campaign during the 2022/23 football season and almost won the Belgian Pro League title with his club.

Unfortunately, his team lost form at the tail end of the football season and lost crucial points in the playoffs of the Championship.

At the end of the season, Joseph Paintsil returned to Ghana and was part of the Black Stars squad that played in the game against Madagascar in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

After spending time with his family and taking care of a number of issues, the talented forward is now back in Belgium for pre-season with his KRC Genk teammates.

Joseph Paintsil after returning is determined to work hard to stay in to form for the start of the new football season.

He will hope to score and provide more assists to help his team to fight for the Belgian Pro League title in the 2023/24 season.
