Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil was on target for KRC Genk when they shared the spoils with Westerlo in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League on Sunday.

The Black Stars winger started and lasted 80 minutes in his outfit 3-3 stalemate at the Cegeka Arena.

Westerlo came from behind on three occasions to ensure they return home with a point in the week 9 encounter.

The host opened the scoring after just 10 minutes through Daniel Munoz but the visitors responded quickly to level pegging after Belgium international Lucas Stassin had found the back of the net nine minutes later.

DR Congo international Joris Kayembe Ditu scored to extend Genk’s lead before recess.

In a spirited performance, the Ghana international hit the back of the five minutes into the second half, his second goal of the league campaign.

But the visitors fought back to secure a vital point against Genk, who came close to picking maximum points.

Lucas Stassin pulled one back in the 60th minute before Tuur Rommens restored parity on stoppage time for the visitors.

Meanwhile, his compatriot, Christopher Baah Bonsu was sent off after picking two yellow cards in the game.
