Ghana forward Kwadwo Opoku scores, provides assist as Montréal thump Portland Timbers

Ghana forward Kwadwo Opoku scored for CF Montréal in their 4-1 win over Portland Timbers in the Major League Soccer on Sunday dawn.

The 22 year old also provided an assist as his side are in a good place to qualify for the MLS Cup playoffs.

Since joining CF Montréal in July, Opoku has scored three goals in 12 games in the Major League Soccer.

Opoku assisted Sanusi Ibrahim in the 28th minute to open the scoring for CF Montréal. Seven minutes later, the Ghanaian scored, this time, assisted by Ibrahim.

Four minutes after the hour mark, Mathieu Choiniere added a third goal for CF Montréal, with an assist for Romell Quioto.

Kwadwo Poku was then taken off in the 68th minute and replaced by Lassi Lappalainen.

CF Montréal scored in the 76th minute through Mason Toye before Franck Boli scored the consolation goal for Portland Timbers in the 86th minute with an assist from Yimmi.
