Ghana forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom scores first goal of the season for Lamia FC in Greece

Ghana forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom emerged as the hero for Lamia FC in the Greece top-flight on Saturday.

The Black Stars striker scored the match winner when Lamia inflicted a 1-0 win over Levadiakos, his first goal of the season.

The former Red Star Belgrade star recorded his first league goal of the season from a header after making three appearances.

Boakye Yiadom joined Lamia this summer as a free agent after leaving Beitar Jerusalem.

He will hope to make impact in the Greece top-flight to convince Ghana coach Otto Addo for call up ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He was part of the Black Stars team that played at the AFCON 2021 in Cameroon.
