Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah was handed the captain’s armband at club side Cordoba during a pre-season friendly with Trofeo Colombino on Wednesday. Brimah’s excellent performance last season which saw him emerge as the second best goalie in Spain has earned him much respect at the club.

He kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Real Betis but Cordoba lost 4-3 on penalties where he saved one spot-kick.

Cordoba lost the opening match 1-0 Recreativo de Huelva.

The 26-year-old is expected to be the club's first choice goalkeeper for the upcoming Spanish second-tier league.
