Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi among twelve Swiss-based players to participate in AFCON 2021

Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi is among the twelve Swiss-based players set to partake in the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. #

The much-anticipated tournament has been scheduled between January 9 and February 6, 2022.

Ghana is among the 24 country’s to battle for the covetous trophy in the Central Africa country next year.

Ati-Zigi, who plies his trade for St Gallen made Milovan Rajevac’s provisional 30-man list released last week and will hope to make the final cut for the tournament.

The Swiss league is expected to resume January 29 and 30 and will see twelve African players missing some games due to their involvement in the AAFCON tourney.

Black Stars have already started camping for the 2021 AFCON in Doha, Qatar.

They will play two games to give coach Rajevac the opportunity to assess his squad.

Ghana have been paired with Morocco, Gabon and Comoros at the 33rd AFCON tournament.

Black Stars playing their first match on January 10 against Morocco.
