Ghana goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi hails amazing St Gallen fans after emphatic win over Yverdon

Ghana international Lawrence Ati-Zigi has expressed gratitude to St Gallen fans following their emphatic victory over Yverdon in the Swiss top-flight.

The Black Stars goalkeeper kept the post when his outfit cruised to a resounding 5-1 home win against Yverdon on Sunday.

Ati-Zigi impressed in the game for St Gallen as they secured maximum points over their opponent in the 32 fixture played at the kybunpark.

After the game, the Ghanaian shot stopper took to social media to express his joy whiles eulogizing fans of the club for the unflinching support throughout the game.

“Thank God for the victory, and as usual big ups to the fans for the amazing support and atmosphere” he wrote on Instagram.

The visitors opened the scoring after just four minutes into the game through Lizeiro before St Gallen rallied from behind to snatch victory.

Italy international Mattia Zanotti scored to pull parity for the host in the 17th minute mark as the first half ended 1-1.

Putting on a stellar performance, the home team staged an impressive comeback to secure maximum by scoring four additional goals.

Goals from Victor Ruiz, Chadrac Akolo, Bastien Toma and Christian Witzig were enough to fetch St Gallen all points.
