Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp put up an impressive display for Crystal Palace by registering an assist in their 2-0 win over Oxford United in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening.

Schlupp climbed off the bench to replace Killian Phillips in the 51st to help the Eagles progress to the third round of the competition.

The win ends a run of four EFL Cup exits without scoring for Palace, who had lost their last four games in this competition including twice on penalties.

Second-half substitute Schlupp fed Frenchman Edouard to fire past Oxford keeper Edward McGinty in the 71st minute.

Milivojevic made it 2-0 from the spot on the stroke of full-time after Ayew drew a foul in the box.

Schlupp has made four appearances for Crystal Palace in all competitions this season and provided one assist.

Palace will turn their attention to the Premier League this weekend as they come up against champions Manchester City on match week four at the Etihad stadium.
