Ghana international Kwabena Owusu excited to mark his Córdoba debut with victory over Granada

Ghanaian forward Kwabena Owusu has expressed his happiness after marking his Córdoba debut with a 2-1 win over Recreativo Granada in the Segunda B division.

Owusu, who replaced Sebas Moyano helped Córdoba record their first victory of the season at the Neuvo Arcangel stadium.

"Very happy to play but more to win," he posted on Twitter.

The 22-year-old was introduced in 71st minute of the game when  Córdoba CF were drawing 1-1 until a 90th-minute strike from Juanto Ortuno sealed all three points.

He was involved in only two training sessions with the team after completing his season-long loan move on Wednesday from La Liga side Leganes.

Due to his impressive performance in training, head coach Enrique Martín introduced Owusu in the second half to help pick up the maximum points for his side.

The Ghana international made 25 league appearances and scored 10 goals for Salamanca UDS in the Segunda B last season.
