Ghanaian winger Henry Addo has achieved a significant milestone in his young career by winning the Israeli league title with Maccabi Tel-Aviv in his first season at the club.

The team secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Hapoel Beer Sheva on Saturday evening, establishing an eight-point lead on the league table with just two games left to play.

The match began with drama as Hapoel Beer Sheva's Miguel Victor was shown a red card in the first minute for a professional foul. Maccabi Tel-Aviv capitalized on their numerical advantage, with Dor Turgeman opening the scoring in the 25th minute. Ofir Davidzada doubled the lead eight minutes later, and Ido Shahar put the game beyond reach in the 69th minute.

Addo, who joined Maccabi Tel-Aviv from Slovakian side MSK Zilina in February 2024 for a fee of 500,000 euros, was not included in the match-day squad.

However, the 21-year-old Ghanaian attacker has made a valuable contribution to the team's success this season, having made one appearance against Beitar Jerusalem.
