Former Ghana international Felix Aboagye is confident about the Black Stars chances ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Ivory Coast next year.
The four-time African champions, last clinched the coveted title in 1982 in Libya, enduring a prolonged trophy drought since.
Ghana find themselves in Group B for the AFCON alongside Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique.
Asked if Ghana and Egypt are capable of winning the AFCON 2023 title, the former Al Ahly star said, “Yes, Egypt and Ghana are capable of winning the tournament. At the present time, Ghana is not performing well, but in the atmosphere and competitions of the tournament itself, everything changes. Egypt has a very strong team and has a strong chance of winning the tournament”
The tournament is scheduled to commence on January 13, 2024, culminating in the final on February 11, 2024.
