Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan foresees greatness in Laryea Kingston's coaching career

Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has backed Black Starlets coach Laryea Kingston to achieve greater heights of his coaching career.

Kingston is making wave with the Ghana U17 national team after leading the side to two straight wins in the ongoing WAFU B U17 Championship in Accra.

The Black Starlets began the tournament with a 5-1 win over Ivory Coast before inflicting a 2-0 win over Benin in their second Group A game at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon on Tuesday evening.

Goals from Mark Kagawa Mensah and Theophilus Ayamga propelled the Black Starlets to finish top of Group A as they secure qualification to the semifinals.

However, Gyan has taken to social media to lavish praise on Laryea Kingston whiles tipping to attain greater heights of his coaching career.

“I told this man he will be one of the best coaches in Ghana and beyond,the first time I saw his tactics. This is the beginning of greatness. It’s just a process. Keep going ( MACHINE)” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Laryea Kingston is aiming to qualify the Black Starlets to the U17 AFCON for the first time since 2017.
