Ghana legend Stephen Appiah selected to mentor young football talents in Nigeria

Ghana legend, Stephen Appiah is one of several Africa football icons selected to mentor young talented players that will be picked by the talent hunt programme put together by African Children’s Talent Discovery Foundation (ACTDF).

The Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) on Sunday, June 27, 2021, rounded up its hunt for football talents in Bauchi, located in North East of Nigeria.

According to Noah Dallaji who is the Chairman of ACTDF, the second edition of the ACTDF talent hunt and the mentoring programme promises to be bigger this year.

“Successful participants will be taken to the ACTDF Academy in Abuja and trained before exposing them to foreign trials,” he revealed in a statement released by his outfit.

When camped, these talented young footballers will be mentored by African greats including Ghana’s very own Stephen Appiah.

The ex-Black Stars captain will work with the likes of Daniel Amokachi, Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo, Austin Eguavoen, Tijani Babangida, Garba Lawal [from Nigeria], and El Hadji Diouf of Senegal.
