After his recent racial abuse on social media, Ghana and Cagliari midfielder Alfred Duncan has attributed the canker to bad parenting.

Over the weekend, the midfielder and his Cagliari Calcio side played one of the toughest matches in their bid to stay in the Italian Serie A.

On the back of a spirited performance from the team, they managed to win 3-2 at the end of the contest on Sunday.

Celebrating the victory and later opening his Instagram account, Alfred Duncan received racist abuse from fans believed to be of AS Roma.

Appalled by the abuse, Alfred Duncan took shots and posted on his status while expressing a rather candid view on the roots of the act.

According to him, it is all down to the wrong education given to people by their parents.

"The fault is not his but his parents ... education is the key word,” he said about his abuse on Instagram on Sunday.
