Belgian-Ghanaian attacking midfielder, Desmond Acquah, has penned an extension to his contract with top-tier Belgian side OH Leuven.

The 21-year-old rising star's commitment ensures his dynamic presence in the Leuven squad for the next three seasons, with the deal set to keep him sporting the Leuven colors until at least 2026.

Having emerged from OH Leuven's youth system, Acquah's journey with the club began in 2016. Since then, he has traversed through various youth levels.

Notably, Acquah's prowess was on full display in the preceding season, as he made his mark in the Eerste Nationale, with an impressive tally of 29 appearances and three goals.

Academy Manager of OH Leuven Henk Mariman is excited with Acquah’s extended stay at the club. “Desmond has been playing with our youth academy for a long time and has already taken the step to the promises at a young age.

He added ”This season he is knocking on the door of the first team and he can take the step forward.”

Desmond Acquah is expected to play a key role for the U23 side when the Eerste Nationale new season starts next week.
