Ghana midfielder Edmund Addo debuts for Red Star Belgrade in pre-season friendly win over Uzice

Ghana international Edmund Addo made his debut for Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade against GFK Sloboda Uzice in a pre-season friendly.

Red Star Belgrade engaged the Serbian second-tier club on Monday in a friendly as they prepare for the upcoming football season.

The game ended 3-1 in favour of Red Star Belgrade who hosted the lower-tier club.

Addo, who recently joined the Serbian champions on a four-year deal played his first match for the club.

Serbian forward Jovan Mijatovic opened the scoring for Red Star Belgrade after connecting from a pass after 19 minutes into the game.

The visitors restored parity in the 34th minute through Nikola Lazovic but Aleksandar Katai found the back of the net to restore Red Star Belgrade’s lead as they went to recess with a 2-1 advantage.

After the break, Serbian defender Marko Gobeljic scored the last goal of the match in the 63rd minute to seal a 3-1 win over Uzice in the encounter.
