Ghana international Edmund Addo is set to join Serbian giants Red Stars Belgrade from Spartak Subotica this summer, Footballghana.com can report.

The Black Stars midfielder came close to joining the Belgrade-based club in 2022 during his spell with FC Sheriff Tiraspol but the move fell through.

However, the midfielder joined fellow Serbian club Sparta Subotica in January 2023 on a two-year deal.

But Footballghana.com has gathered the enterprising Ghanaian midfielder will cut his stay with Sparta Subotica short to join Red Star Belgrade.

He made 16 appearances for Sparta Subotica in the second half of the season.

Addo is expected to complete his move to the Serbian giants in the coming days as the club seek to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

The midfielder will join compatriot Osman Bukari, who enjoyed an amazing first season with the club.

The former FC Sheriff Tiraspol star was part of the Black Stars squad for the penultimate AFCON qualifier against Madagascar.
