Ghana midfielder Elisha Owusu marks Auxerre debut in big win over Chamois Niortais in Coup de France

Ghana international Elisha Owusu made his Auxerre competitive debut in the French Cup game against Chamois Niortais.

The Black Stars midfielder was started his first start against the lower-tier club and excelled as Auxerre cruised to victory.

Owusu lasted 71 minutes in Auxerre’s 4-0 away win over Chamois Niortais to progress to the Round of 16 of the Coup de France.

Goals from Matthis Abline, Gaëtan Perrin, Nuno Da Costa and Gaëtan Perrin was enough for the Ligue 1 side to triumph over Niort.

The 25-year-old joined the Ligue 1 outfit last Monday on a two and half year deal from Gent, ending his three year spell with the Belgian side.
