Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah lifts lid on Inter Milan exit

Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah has revealed that things went from bad to worse in his final season at Inter Milan, leading to his eventual exit in the summer transfer window.

The midfielder and the Italian Serie A outfit decided to part ways last October following a 2019/2020 season where injuries kept him on the sidelines for most parts of the campaign.

Now a free agent and looking for a club to move to in the January transfer window, Kwadwo Asamoah has opened up on his Inter Milan exit.

“I don't complain, even if I don't play. Obviously, I would like to play, but I'm not going to ask the coach why he doesn't let me play,” the midfielder who can play as a left-wing-back told BBC Sport Africa in an interview.

Kwadwo Asamoah continued, “At the beginning of the third season at Inter I realized that things were getting worse, the best thing to do was to redesign everything and focus on continuing my career. Everyone at Inter has always treated me very well.

“When I explained my situation to them, they understood me. We made an agreement and they let me go without problems.”

According to sources, Kwadwo Asamoah is likely to join Sampdoria or Udinese in January.
