Thomas Partey has handed Arsenal a major injury boost by returning to full training ahead of their Premier League game against Brentford on Sunday.

The Ghanaian has been absent since suffering a thigh problem in training and last featured in the 3-0 win at Bournemouth on August 20.

Partey has been one of the influential players for Mikel Arteta's side since his arrival from Atletico Madrid in 2020, however, he has struggled with injuries.

Last season, he missed the run in which saw Arsenal miss out on a Champions League spot as they finished fifth on the table.

Partey, who was named in the Ghana squad for the upcoming International friendly matches against Brazil and Nicaragua has returned to full training.

He actually returned to training before the scheduled meeting with Everton on September 11, but the game was postponed as a mark of respect following the death of Her Majesty the Queen.

The midfielder should be available to face Brentford on Sunday at Gtech Community Stadium.
