Ghana moves up on FIFA/Coca-Cola Ranking after AFCON performance

Ghana’s position on the Coca-Cola/FIFA Ranking has elevated after finishing fourth at the just ended Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

 

The Black Stars, who were previously ranked 54th are now 45th on the ranking having reached the semi-finals of the Cup of Nations.

 

Ghana also moved from the 9th position on the Africa continent to 6th.

 

Africa Champions Cameroon moved 29 places on the ranking to occupy the 33rd position on the globe whereas finalist and seven-time Africa Champions Egypt stay top on the Africa ranking and 24th in the World.

 

Meanwhile, the Elephants of Ivory Coast dropped to 47th in the World and 7th in Africa.

 

Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium are still ranked the top five countries in the World.
