Ghana moves up on FIFA/Coca-Cola Ranking after AFCON performance

Ghana’s position on the Coca-Cola/FIFA Ranking has elevated after finishing fourth at the just ended Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The Black Stars, who were previously ranked 54^th are now 45^th on the ranking having reached the semi-finals of the Cup of Nations.

Ghana also moved from the 9^th position on the Africa continent to 6^th.

Africa Champions Cameroon moved 29 places on the ranking to occupy the 33^rd position on the globe whereas finalist and seven-time Africa Champions Egypt stay top on the Africa ranking and 24^th in the World.

Meanwhile, the Elephants of Ivory Coast dropped to 47^th in the World and 7^th in Africa.

Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium are still ranked the top five countries in the World.
